About Dictawave
Dictawave turns audio and video into editable, timestamped text in the browser. One workflow, no install, and an output you can correct before it leaves the page.
Transcribe a fileWhat Dictawave does
Upload a recording or paste a direct link to a media file, choose the spoken language or let detection handle it, and review the transcript as it comes back. Speaker separation labels each turn when more than one person is talking. The result exports as plain text, SRT, or VTT, so it moves into a document, a video editor, or a caption track without retyping.
How the workflow is built
The recording is processed on the server and the transcript returns to the same page, which keeps the browser light and the editing immediate. Names, terminology, and speaker labels are corrected in place, and every block keeps its timestamp so a claim can be checked against the audio. No plugin or project setup stands between the file and the text.
What we deliberately leave out
Dictawave is a transcription tool, not a suite. It does not record meetings, host video, or manage a publishing calendar. That focus is why a single file and a batch of files follow the same short path, and why the page stays usable on a work laptop or a shared machine.
